Modern, comfortable one-bedroom apartment, designed for a student, with the subsequent possibility to accommodate a young family.
Minimalism assumes the self-sufficiency of the interior, proportional forms and clear lines, rooms flowing one into another. Light wood, mirrors and floral ornaments diversify the interior. The monochrome gamma of shades of mocha creates a gentle and airy atmosphere. The palette of textures is balanced and diverse, matte and glossy surfaces, leather, textiles, stucco work overlap in different details of decoration of the apartment, while remaining concise.

The living room and spacious kitchen are adjoining, facing southeast with a beautiful view of St. Petersburg. The room, in which the kitchen and dining room are located, is the heart of the apartment and is connected to the living room by a large aperture raised to the ceiling line. It was decided to arrange the kitchen area in such a way that it would not attract attention to itself. All storage cabinets and household appliances are hidden in a specially arranged niche. The glossy facade has the same color as the walls. The absence of hanging cabinets visually unloads the space. The work surface is adjacent to the bar, which separates the kitchen from the dining area.
Lighting, following the chosen style, combines minimalistic built-in ceiling lights and LED contour lighting. Pendant lights are only installed in the dining area. Above the dining table there is a large glossy lamp Skygarden by Marcel Wanders, on the inside it is decorated with floral stucco ornaments, echoing the fresco print in the hallway. The elegance and romanticism of the white lamp is emphasized by brutal, black lamps above the bar counter.
The sophisticated and laconic table Tulip Table by Eero Saarinen, white chairs Wien Glossi Chair by Paolo Lucidi with transparent smoky backs and bar stools Spoon by Antonio Citterio formed a furniture company for each other in the dining room.
3D Fresco “Alabaster Garden” is a one-piece laser-printed canvas that covers one of the walls entirely and hides the door to the bathroom. The fresco not only decorates the apartment and sets the mood, it also visually increases the volume of a small corridor located in the center of the apartment. Large alabaster flowers and leaves uncompromisingly attract the attention of everyone entering the apartment. The fresco was deliberately located in the passage zone, uniting all the rooms at the point where it is clearly visible from different ends of the apartment, at the same time it does not annoy with its active print.
In the living room, the main decoration element is the mirror panel that goes around the wall. The wall looks as if it was floating in the air. The objects, reflected in the mirror panel, amplify the labyrinth effect. The mirror was used in the corridor in order to visually change its borders, to give the space some mystery.
The bedroom with a balcony has an elongated shape. To compensate the shape, it was decided to “cut off” one end with a thick curtain of contrasting color. Behind the curtain, closer to the light, there is a working desk and a dressing table.
High interior doors of the collection “Skyline” were used in the project, with a characteristic difference of the absence of a horizontal platband, due to which the door visually draws space. The door from the collection “Invisible” is built into a hidden box, which makes it possible to hide the bathroom door under the mural.
