A mini-hotel for students
A large apartment in a historical building was acquired for renovation. There will be a five-bedroom accommodation flat for students. A spacious living room with a joint kitchen, few bedrooms, contemporary bathrooms, forged iron balconies — there is everything for comfortable living, studying, and special memories about student life in Lisbon.
Location: Lisbon, Portugal

This Design Project was based on the white/black contrast with a touch of Desert Sage. For every room we found their accent details.
Graphic black metal elements are found in lighting fixtures, mirrors, chairs and other furniture. The leather straps on the lamps are combined with the leather loops on the headboard.
The theme color in the accommodation is a warm Desert Sage, it is present in every room. Depending on the lighting, a sophisticated shade of high-quality paint changes its intensity, yet consistently fills the area with depth and warmth.
The fresh Desert Sage is versatile and can be absolutely different, depending on the time of day and weather outside. What stays as its feature is its ability to create atmosphere of cosiness in Scandinavian style.
The Design Project had to be done with slim budget and simplicity in solutions. The development was based on IKEA supply, and then some furniture for the living room were substituted with similar in cost but more attractive and less common. For example, initially for the project the black IKEA chairs were chosen, yet later on an idea appeared to use a replica of the famous Bend Lucy Chair, which is a wire chair with a striking geometric pattern.
